Dr. Asad Tarsin

Asad Tarsin has a particular interest in developing educational models for new and beginner level Muslims, as well as educating the broader public about the beauty of Islam. He is the author of “Being Muslim: A Practical Guide,” a primer on the foundational tenets of Islamic faith, conduct, and character. After completing a bachelor’s in Islamic studies, Asad Tarsin continued his private study of Islamic theology, sacred law, philosophy, and spirituality with various scholars including Shaykh Hamza Yusuf. An emergency physician by training, he currently serves as a research fellow at Zaytuna College, the first accredited Muslim Liberal Arts College in North America.
